For our Santorini holiday rentals, we chose a cliffside cave house in Oia. Waking up to that iconic caldera view from our private terrace was surreal. The whitewashed walls and blue dome nearby felt like living in a postcard. We spent lazy afternoons watching the sunset paint the sea gold, then walked up to the castle ruins for the famous Oia sunset. It was peaceful, romantic, and felt genuinely local—nothing like a standard resort stay.
